Project | Refineries for Future

In phase 1, the REF4FU partners define the portfolio of possible fuel components for the various application sectors, for which refinery concepts are designed in WP 4.
In phase 2, the potential fuel design space for the various fuel applications is defined in WP 2 and WP 3, which is possible by combining the various fuel components.
In phase 3, systematic screenings of the fuel formulations of the design space proposed in phase 2 are carried out for each application sector in order to identify those products that can be used in current and future fuel scenarios.
In phase 4, the product areas identified in phase 3 and the associated process routes will be evaluated technically, ecologically, and economically in WPs 2, 3, and 4, and synergies and optimization potentials will be identified.
In phase 5, the various individual assessments are brought together in WP 5 and evaluated against the background of the regulatory framework concerning possible implementation.
